It was Never ending............

Well we're now back from a truly eye opening trip to Peru....

Chicama
lived up to the hype - on the best days giving perfectly walled up lefts, with a sweet barrel section on take off, and a never ending wall that was just perfect for charging.

We made a Cabillito de Totora with a local fisherman - this was an incredible experience, and we'll post more about this later.

And we travelled through hundreds of miles of empty dessert in search of sick waves - some tracks ended in nothing, and some ended in endless lefts - but all were cool for one reason or another!

There are more photo's available to view here

More photos and a proper write-up to come soon - plus some video clips!

Packing!

Getting close now! A few last minute panics this week sorting out gear but hopefully by the time we get on the plane tomorrow everything will be packed and loaded. The surf forecast is looking quite nice so getting excited now...looks like we could score a classic couple of weeks :)

Another step in the right direction - bring it on!

One of the things that has been lacking for way too long in the surf kayak scene is reliable shots of barrels, and super close up images of dynamic moves and aerials.

We need this next level of inspiring images to really push the sport to where it deserves to be, so with this in mind I have just gone out this morning and spent a most of my life savings on a waterproof housing for my SLR.

With this new toy (and the faith to put $5,000 worth of camera in the water) - the images we get from Peru will be the best Surf kayak images to date,

I cant wait :-)

Team Kayaks

This weekend, Steve and James are grafting hard to get the team spec kayaks made. After the trip this 'new' construction technique will be used to create a 'signature series' of boats.

Website goes live

I've just launched the new website. Watch this space for the latest news and information about our exciting adventure to surf Chicama, the longest wave in the world :)
